During the past 32 years, Phoenix Day Care centers has been a leader within the childcare industry. We started as "All Seasons Childcare" in 1968 as a provider of childcare. Our company has evolved into not only a quality childcare provider service, but also a pre-school program that will enhance the educational development of your child. Phoenix Day Care has now built and established more than 48 custom childcare centers across the country.
Much of this success is the result of the values and beliefs of Phoenix Day Care centers founder, Paul J. Emch
Paul's first mission statement was to "provide tender loving care and education too" for each child. Not much has changed over the years. We all share the goal of making sure that your child knows that he or she is someone special, and needs to be educated and prepared for the challenges in life. Paul expected every employee to be an ambassador of company principles -- demonstrating love, integrity, generosity, self-discipline and hard work -- simply treating others as we would want to be treated. The current management team has molded these values into their strategic plans and operating practices. These values, along with a team approach to management, have empowered Phoenix Day Care centers to grow to nearly 200 employees who care for nearly 1,000 children each day. Paul is no longer with us, but his commitments to quality, education, and safety have been passed down to the third generation of family who oversee the operations.

We believe that every child is a precious, God-given being with basic needs - social, physical, emotional and intellectual. We will work to instill proper manners and values, honesty and sharing, respect and self worth in your child. It is our purpose to meet those needs when your child is in our care, by providing a safe and loving environment here at our school.
School Director - Bernadette Orciuolo
Hello, my name is Bernadette Oriciulo. I have been the director at Valley Child Care & Learning Center for 15 years and have been with the company for 16 years. In this time, I have watched our center prosper and grow into the extraordinary place that it is today!
First, let me tell you a little about myself. I have attended Central Arizona College to fulfill all requirements necessary for Early Childhood Education. Along with some of my staff, I am currently taking courses at Paradise Valley Community College to further my knowledge of young children. I have received grants from American Express and Lucient Technology to attend classes at the Science and Discovery Center in downtown Phoenix. In turn, I received $1,500 to buy science supplies and books for our school! I have successfully fulfilled all the necessary requirements, and demonstrated mastery of Child Care Administration, and was given a National Credential by the National Child Care Association on March 27th, 1998. I have been married for 34 years and have two wonderful children. My husband and I moved to Phoenix from New Jersey 16 years ago, we love it here!
Now let me tell you a little about our center. We recently received National Accreditation status from the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation Board on May 5th, 2005! We are very proud of this honor because we worked very hard for two years to achieve it. Along with this accreditation we started working with a new curriculum. Our toddlers (ages 1 &2), are working with the High Reach program. Our preschool children (ages 3-5), are working with the Mother Goose program. Both include age appropriate activities that are designed to give children hands on learning experiences that help to foster creativity. We feel that children learn best through play and role playing what they see in real life, so we encourage children to use creative expression in whatever they do! We offer parent classes on nutrition, CPR and first aid. Your child also has the opportunity to be involved in our Melody Makers Music Program that is held every week! This program has had a great impact on all the children here and they absolutely love it! Each class is taught by a music specialist that uses a proven curriculum. This program includes singing with the guitar, puppets, story boards, dancing, singing, acting, props, playing instruments, reading music notation and basic music appreciation. Our school also sponsors a dance class by Magic Motion Dance Company for children ages 3 and up. We do progress reports 3 times a year and have parent/teacher conferences twice a year to keep you informed on your child’s progress.
I believe that parents and teachers working side by side is the best way for children to grow and learn. We take time to applaud children’s accomplishments and we hope you do the same.
